Goodbye Scottish Pound?

It has been rumored that if Scotland is indeed to leave the United Kingdom all Scottish banknotes are to be banned. Coming from a collectors point of view this brings up to main points: First, if they ban the existing Scottish banknotes from circulating we are going to miss out on new banknotes from the Royal Bank, Clydesdale Bank and the Bank of Scotland. Secondly, on the other hand that means new universal banknotes being printed and used throughout the Highlands. This brings up an interesting debate, from a collectors point of view: would you rather lose banknotes from 3 banks and gain banknotes from one universal bank? or just keep things how they are as of right now.
